On May 29-30, 2026, an international conference „EU Integration Perspectives of the Candidate Countries“ was held in a hybrid format at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University within the framework of the Jean Monnet Chair “Closer to the European Union” project.
Within the framework of the ongoing conference “The Pillar of Our Spirituality” at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, BSU Rector Tite Aroshidze met with the Mayor of Borchkhi, Erjan Oral-Davitadze. During the introductory meeting, the parties discussed the friendly relations between the two countries, agreed to implement joint projects, and outlined plans for future cooperation.
Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University hosted the Head of the Representative office of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia, Taufik Lamsuhuri, Minister Counsellor for Economic Affairs and Honorary Representative of the Embassy Representative Office of the Republic of Indonesia for Economic Affairs Salome Kuchava.
The new Representative of United Nations Children`s Fund in Georgia, Isabella Castrogiovanni, and the Head of the Fund’s Communication Program, Maia Kurtsikidze, visited Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University.
The Embassy of the Republic of Korea held an informational meeting at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, aimed at promoting the Korean language, culture, history, and modern Korea. As part of the event, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea, Hyundoo Kim, met with the Rector of BSU, Tite Aroshidze. During the meeting, the parties discussed future directions and plans for cooperation. Plans were made to sign memorandums with higher educational institutions in Korea, develop academic and scientific projects, and implement exchange programs.
