Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University is the winner of the student competition “I am an Agro-journalist”. The team of 21 students from five regional universities participated in “The Recourse Centre of Journalism” and ,,USAID REAP” project. The participants of the competition made a 3 minute film on agricultural enterprises in Georgia financed by “USAID”.
Based on the jury decision the first place was given to the film on the plastic box production enterprise –“Agroexport”, made by the BSU students: Maria Mamuladze, Ana Nikabadze, Mariam Tsetskhladze and Iago Palavandishvili.
The BSU students were given the special ,,USAID REAP” award which envisages three month paid internship in the regional television. The project was aimed at creating possibilities for the young journalists interested in agricultural issues and their encouragement.
