The Faculty of Exact Sciences and Education was created in September 2018 as a result of unification of the Faculties of Education and Physics and Math and Computer Sciences. The directions unified in the new structural units have a rich development history, however, dynamic increase of technologies and sciences make each of them face the new challenges.   The faculty is also interesting from the point of the connections between the sectors and interdisciplinary approaches. From the one side, the contemporary tasks of Physics, Math and Computer Sciences require close coordination while, on the other side, the faculty structure is flexible for investigation of teaching-learning issues at the school as well as the university levels. 

Field /specialty departments functioning at the Faculty of Exact Sciences and Education, with honor, maintain  those rich and scientific-research and educational traditions, that were rooted from the very first establishment day of the BSU, by the persons performing in the directions of Physics, Pedagogy and Methodology.

The Faculty of Physics and Math has been implementing one-cycle educational programmes in Math, Physics, Informatics, Computing Technology, and Engineering –Pedagogical specialties. BA programmes for these specialties were created in 1997, while MA and Doctoral programmes have been working since 2001. 

For the years, the Faculty of Education has been unifying the following specialties: Primary Education Pedagogics and Methodology, Primary Education with Foreign Language, Pre-school Education Pedagogics and Psychology, Philosophy, Basic Military Training and Physical Education. The faculty, in different times, comprised the Department of Primary Education and Methodology, Departments of Pedagogics-Phycology and Physical Education, Centre of Languages and Technologies.
