Meeting the Representatives of the “Shota Rustaveli Centre of Culture” of Istanbul

Ms. Salome Baramidze, the Chairperson of the  “Shota  Rustaveli Centre of Culture” of Istanbul, together with Deputy Chairperson Mr. Orhan Beridze visited Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. At the meeting, which took place at the Centre of Georgian Studies of BSU, the visitors,  Mr. Merab Khalvashi, the Rector of BSU, Professors, Teaching staff, Students and other representatives of the community, discussed the objectives and tasks of the organization. Moreover, they defined the directions of the future cooperation and planned the implementation of the joint events.  
 
“Shota  Rustaveli Centre of Culture” of Istanbul was founded in Istanbul by the ancestors of Georgian Muhajirs in 2017. The library established on the basis of the centre preserves the unique materials such as: translation of the “Knight in the Panther’s Skin” in 30 different languages, books, magazines and films.
