Foundation Works of the new study building of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University have already been inaugurated. Mr. Mikheil Chkhenkeli, the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Mr. Zurab Pataradze, Chairman of Autonomous Republic of Ajara, Prof. Merab Khalvashi, Rector of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, Mr. Davit Gabaidze, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Ajara have signed the certificate of construction. The Minister wished the University success and handed the historical repousse of Shota Rustaveli.
Construction of the BSU three-storey study building of the modern standards has been launched on 15 Leonidze street Batumi. It is considered to allocate GEL 2 660 543 from the Budget of the Local Government for the construction of the building. 27 study rooms, offices, a conference hall will be accommodated on three floors of the building. The new campus will be adjusted to people with special needs; it is planned to arrange ramps and install an elevator for the mentioned reason. Protection of safety norms is also considered. The construction works will be finalized in December 2018.
After the completion of the ceremony of pouring the foundation, Mr. Mikheil Chkhenkeli, the Minister visited the building of the dormitory under construction. The construction of the modern students’ dormitory for 200 tenants will be finalized in the Summer 2018.
