
Dessislava Ivanova, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to Georgia gave a public lecture “Bulgaria and European Union” at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. The representative of the Corps Diplomatique introduced the results of the Republic of Bulgaria chairmanship of the EU council to the students of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences. Bulgaria joined European Union in 2007 and became the chair of the European Union first in 2018.
Dessislava Ivanova talked about the relations between Georgia and Bulgaria as well as made a focus on visa free regime and the requirements of integration in the European Union. At the end of the lecture the speaker responded to the questions addressed.
