
Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University hosts the first International Conference “Multicultural Space of the Eastern Europe”. The conference aims at outlining, analyzing and evaluating the research tendencies of the intercultural dialogue, mutual influence, language and linguistic policy, literature, translation, the past and the modern times of interrelations of cultures and other up-to-date interdisciplinary trends as well as sharing contemporary methods. The international session also envisages the development of the young researchers’ scope, encouragement of research of the contemporary directions and development of the professional relations. The conference will encourage carrying out interdisciplinary research in new directions in the field of language and culture, introduction to the research methods, sharing experiences, defining the potential of the joint research and the scientific-creative dialogues.
The International Conference involves professors and researchers from Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, Columbia University, New York University (Hunter College), Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Ilia State University, University of Virginia, Ionian University of Corfu, Batumi Art State Teaching University, the Institute of Foreign Languages of Romania, Recep Tayyip Erdogan University of Rize, Azerbaijan University, Caucasus International University, Batumi State Maritime Academy, Romanian University, the Institute of Georgian Literature of Shota Rustaveli, Istanbul Shota Rustaveli Centre of Culture and Bakur Sulakauri Publishing House.
The event is organized by Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, Ministry of Culture and Sport of Ajara and Batumi Art State Teaching University.
