Memorandum of Understanding between the Changsha University and the Georgian –China Friendship Association

Batumi Shota State University was visited by the delegation of China. The visit was organized by Tornike Rizhvadze, Chairman of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara and the Georgian-China Friendship Association. In the frame of the visit, Prof. Merab Khalvashi, BSU Rector, Mr. Davit Ebralidze, Director of the Georgian-China Friendship Association and FU Hongyuan, Prof. at  Changsha University of Science and Technology signed the Memorandum of Understanding. The agreement considers the implementation of the joint exchange programmes for the students, professors and the teaching staff as well as the study and research projects. It was planned to send 100 students from the Autonomous Republic of Ajara, in particular those from the mountainous regions, to the Changsha University of Science and Technology in the frame of the “Belt and Road” initiative project.

Following the agreement between the parties the Confucius Institute will be established in BSU. Moreover, it is planned to elaborate joint PhD Educational programmes, carry our research projects, held conferences, summer school and seminars. The Memorandum also envisages the exchange of the study, research and methodological literature and sharing the experience in management of the research works.
