
In the frame of the official visit Mr. Tornike Rizhvadze, Chairman of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara and Prof. Merab Khalvashi, Rector of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University met Prof. Tiit Land, Rector of the Tallinn University, Prof. Hendrick Voltan, Vice-rector of the University of Technology of Tallinn-TalTech- and the representatives of MEKTORY -the Centre of Innovations and Business.
In the nearest future the new campus of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University will house a technopark that will provide the young people with new opportunities. In the frame of the official visit Rector of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University Merab Khalvashi and Tiit land, Rector of the Tallinn University spoke about the prospects of future cooperation that envisages deepening the relations in various directions. Special attention will be paid to the faculties of Medicine, International Relations and Tourism. It is planned to update the existing memorandum between the BSU and the University of Tallinn in the frame of which the programme of the Online Library will be elaborated and implemented.
The Chairman of the Government of Ajara Autonomous Republic spoke about strengthening the cooperatin with the Tallinn University of Technology as well as the importance of sharing their experience and competence. „Our Youngsters will get the better understanding of the innovation technologies and they will be able to use this knowledge to achive their own concrete aims as well as in the context of performing for the country”-said Mr. Tornike Rizhvadze.
