Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University is hosting the Day of Europe in the frame of the III International Week. The Day of Europe was officially opened by Merab Khalvashi, Rector of BSU and Inga Shamilishvili, the Minister of Education, Culture and Sport of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara. The event was aimed at popularization of the European values and raising awareness in the youth. The students of the BSU exchange programme, the academic and the administrative staff of the University of Rennes I in France, Silesian University of Technology in Poland, University School of Physical Education in Poland, Kwidzyn University in Poland and Vytautas Magnus University in Lithuania presented their countries at the exhibition arranged in the frame of the Day of Europe.
The BSU students of the ERASMUS+Exchange programme, representatives of the Bureau of Ajara of the NATO and EU Info Centre and the Girls’ Folk Ensemble “Tirini” also participated in the exhibition. The Day of Europe was organized by the Department of Strategic Development and International Relations of BSU.
