The workshop in the frame of the project of the Institutional Support “Raising Research Capacity of Georgian HEIs through Developing R&D Units (HERD)“ (Erasmus+Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) has started at BSU. The aim of the project is to improve the potential of research existing in the country though the development of the research services in Georgian Universities. The three day workshop involves about 30 representatives of the Georgian and International universities.
In the frame of the project the Integrated Management System of the Research in Georgia is being created that, with the coordination of Tbilisi State University, will involve 12 Higher Education Institutions of the country, 5 governmental agencies and 3 European universities (Germany, France).
The two year project aims at modernization of research services of the Member Universities, enhancement of the research potential and quality, integration of the teaching/learning and research components at the institutional level. It is planned to create the integrated research platform for 12 Georgian universities as well as the Internet Research Portal for Georgia, develop the skills for the research management and the processing of the data analysis for the Administrative staff and support the enhancement of the research potential.
