International Clinical Conference: "Contemporary Approaches to Diagnosis and Treatment" is being held at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. The conference was opened by Rector of BSU - Merab Khalvashi, The Minister of Health and Social Affairs of Adjara AR. Zaal Mikeladze, Rector of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University - Giorgi Sharvashidze, the Chairman of the Association of Physicians of Georgia, TSU Professor - Gia Lobzhanidze and TSU Professor Merab Kiladze. Within two days, 130 prominent physicians from 11 countries will deliver the speech to the sections on topical issues in various fields of medicine.
The session will discuss important issues of general and mini-invasive surgery, vascular surgery, urology, oncology, gynecology, interventional radiology, cardiology, and gastroenterology. Doctors, residents, students from different fields will get acquainted with treatment and diagnostics innovations and will improve their qualifications.
Within the framework of the conference, the Rector of BSU Merab Khalvashi awarded the certificate of gratitude to Akaki Beridze, Emeritus Professor of BSU for his special contribution to the educational and scientific activities of the University.
The international clinical conference is jointly organized by Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Georgian Doctors Association and Batumi City Hall.
