Conference on Education Reform Issues was held at BSU

Estonian Ambassador to Georgia Kai Kaarelson, UNICEF Representative in Georgia Dr. Ghassan Khalil, Minister of Education, Culture and Sport of Adjara AR Maia Khajishvili and Rector of BSU Merab Khalvashi opened a conference on reforms in education at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. Minister of Education, Culture and Sport of Adjara AR Maia Khajishvili spoke about the progress of educational reforms in Adjara, Estonian Ambassador to Georgia Kai Kaarelson shared the experience of the Estonian education system with session participants, and UNICEF Representative in Georgia Dr. Gassan Khalil drew attention in his report on the importance of children rights-based education. Lela Tavdgiridze, a BSU professor, presented a report on the results of UNICEF, Estonia and Georgia Partnership Program in Higher Education at the conference.

The Conference was organized by UNICEF and Ministry of Education, Culture, and Sport of Ajara AR and supported by Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University.
