Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University is the winner of the Jean Monnet program

According to the decision of the European Commission, Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University is the winner of the Jean Monnet program with the project "European Union's core values: democracy, rule of law and protection of human rights", presented by Malkhaz Nakashidze. Professor Malkhaz Nakashidze became a professor at Jean Monnet Chairs and was awarded the status of Head of the Jean Monnet Chair for a term of 3 years.

Within the framework of the project, the first Jean Monnet Chair will be opened at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, which will help to spread knowledge about European values in the region. The opening of the chair envisages the introduction of three new training courses - the organization of academic events, the involvement of young people, and the implementation of research.

The Jean Monnet Program aims at promoting EU values and principles by endorsing research and teaching about the EU.
