In the frame of the Europe Day 2021, in the online format, Desislava Ivanova, Ambassador of Bulgaria to Georgia, met the students of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University.
The online meeting, attended by Approximately 100 students, was moderated by Tamara Tsuleiskiri, Director of the Information Centre of NATO and EU who spoke about the activities of the Information Centre and the process of the Europe Days.
At the meeting with the students Desislava Ivanova talked about the process of Integration of Bulgaria in European and Euro-Atlantic structures and delivered the presentation with details on the historical conditions accompanying the integration process. Moreover, the Ambassador focused on the prospects of European integration of Georgia as well as mutual cooperation between Georgia and Bulgaria.
The meeting was held in the active discussion mode. The students showed particular interest in the experience of integration of Bulgaria in the European structures. The meeting was also attended by Tamar Siradze, the BSU Deputy rector, Malkhaz Nakashidze, Head of Jean Monnet Department, Associate Professor and the university lecturers.
