
The only way to defeat the pandemic is through vaccination; vaccination protects us from death, -said Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia, in Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University where, together with the Chairman of the Parliament Kakha Kuchava, the Minister of Education and Science Mikheil Chkhenkeli, the Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara Tornike Rizhvadze, the BSU Rector Merab Khalvashi and the Administration Head Nika Chkhartishvili, the Prime Minister got acquainted with the vaccination process.
To be vaccinated at the BSU Vaccination Centre, the citizens do not need to be registered. The Prime Minister was informed on the immunization process and the activity of the citizens in the region by Nino Nizharadze, the Minister of Health and Social Affairs of Ajara. According to this, more than 98 thousand doses of vaccine have already been administered and 15% of the population has been vaccinated with at least one dose.
10 Brigades with the daily capacity of 800-1000 patients work on it at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, while there are 60 brigades operating throughout the region.
The Head of the Government spoke to the citizens and the vaccination brigades that include the BSU graduating students and stressed the importance of vaccination.
The Prime Minister once again called on the citizens to be actively involved in the vaccination process and trust the scientists and science, as the vaccine is completely safe.
