World Mental Health Day Week at BSU

As part of the week dedicated to world Mental Health Day, several events were held under the auspices of the BSU Psychology Clinic E-PSY project. Psychologists of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University gave students consultations on the problems related to stress. Moreover, the E-PSY project was also presented, the aim of which is to provide social and psychological assistance to students through the establishment of psychological consulting centers in Georgian higher education institutions. The program envisages the establishment of psychological centers in higher education institutions.

As a consequence of establishment of the Psychological Counsulting Centers, the students of the higher education institutions participating in the project will be assisted by psychologists who will undergo specialized training at the Universities of Bydgoszcz and Brasov. They will also take part in workshops and seminars organized by Georgian and European specialists. Within the framework of the project, recommendations and legislative documentation will be developed, an association of the University Psychological Consulting Centers will be established, which will contribute to the sustainability and viability of the project results.

In the frame of the World Mental Health Day Week, the cycle of free consulting services under the auspices of the BSU Psychology Clinic e-psy began on October 13 and end on October 16. Consultations on child and adolescent mental health issues are provided both online and offline.
