
On June 6-10, the Porto Polytechnic University of Porto, Portugal hosted a study visit under the Erasmus + grant project “Boosting the role of HEls in the industrial transformation towards the Industry 4.0 paradigm in Georgia and Ukraine”
The visit was intended to share the experience of European universities for the development of Paradigm 4.0 concept. At the meeting the successful practices of the Universities of Porto Polytechnic University (ISEP - IPP, Portugal), the University of Minho (University of Minho, Portugal) and the University of Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), Belgium and Germany in integration of the Paradigm 4.0 concept in the educational programs, about the role of the universities in the development of industry and successful projects of partner universities, were presented.
During the visit, the participants got acquainted with the laboratories and training centers of the University, including an introductory tour at the Scientific Research Institute (INEGI - Institute of Science and Innovation in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering). The participants of the visit were given a seminar on successful management and team management issues.
The final day of the visit was dedicated to the coordination meeting, where the strengths and weaknesses of the project were discussed, and further activities were planned.
The project was attended by Project Manager and Researcher from Batumi University, Dean of the Faculty of Exact Sciences and Education, Professor Lela Turmanidze, Senior Teacher of the same Faculty, IT Specialist Giorgi Imnaishvili (Technical Staff, Researcher) and Project Researcher, Administrative Staff, Associate Professor Nana Mazmishvili.
