
The graduates of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University Educatonal Programme of Medical Doctor instructed in English successfully passed the FMG exam (Foreign Medical Graduates Examination) in India. FMGE is conducted in India every 6 months. Students take the exam in 20 different subjects and the exam ticket consists of 300 multiple-choice questions. The exam is considered passed if the graduate passes the 150-point threshold.
In 2022, 22,092 students registered for the exam, but about 2,346 of them passed. Among them are the 32 graduates of BSU Medical Doctor Educational Programme instructed in English: Ridhal Panchal, Ananya Singh, Chirag Suresh Advani, Sulabh Garg, Rumez Bashir Ahmed Charfare, Shruti Vikas Desai, Afa Jabeen Gulam Nabi Ansari, Deep Prakashbhai Desai, Bhar Jagavdishbhai Shalmabhalodi Neogi, Mansi Mishra, Sadiya, Charu, Shreya Sadashiv Kadamba, Shivam Mohanbhai Patel, Manthan Jitendrabhai Jeevan, Gaurav Bhatt, Amrutha Varshin Pichetti, Lalit Patel, Rahul Kumar, Ahmed Abdul Aziz, Henalee Ashok Patel, Saurabh Nagar, Sarvadaman Singh Rathmanore Kumar Dhakar, Rabia Begum, Aparna Singh, Uttam Yadav, Rajeev Jhanwer, Akash Tyagi, Akbar Ali, Kewal Alkeshkumar Shah.
Indian students are eligible to study anywhere in the world provided the university is affiliated and recognized by the Medical Council of India. If after completing the studies abroad, the graduate decides to continue his/her medical career in /her home country, passing the menioned exam is mandatory, after which he/she will be equal to the graduates of higher education institutions in India.
After passing the FMGE, graduates are eligible for professional practice and internship in any medical institution in India, in any clinical department, or continue their studies at higher levels of education.
