Memorandum with the University of Hungary

On October 28, a memorandum of understanding was signed in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, on cooperation between Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University and the Hungarian University of Agricultural and Life Sciences. The memorandum was signed by Deputy Rector of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University Tamar Siradze and Deputy Rector of Hungarian University of Agricultural and Life Sciences Istvan Szabo.

Within the framework of the memorandum, it is planned to prepare joint educational programs between the two universities, mutual exchange of students and staff, and strengthening of the scientific-research field.

It should be noted that the signing ceremony was held within the framework of the fifth session of the Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation between Georgia and Hungary. The mentioned meeting took place in Budapest on October 26-28, 2022, where the parties discussed prospects for deepening cooperation between Georgia and Hungary in the following areas: trade and investments, tourism, agriculture, environmental protection and energy, transport, communications and innovations, education and science, culture, Georgia-EU relationships and more.
