
Hungarian Ambassador to Georgia Anna Maria Shiko visited Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. At the meeting with the BSU Rector, professor Merab Khalvashi and Maia Khajishvili, the Minister of Education, Culture and Sport of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara, the representative of the diplomatic corps spoke about the Memorandum of Understanding on the existing cooperation between two countries and implementation of the joint educational-research projects.
On October 28, during the visit of the Georgian state delegation to Budapest, the parties drew attention to the memorandum signed between the Shota Rustaveli State University of Batumi and the Hungarian University of Agricultural and Life Sciences, within the framework of which exchange programs will be launched for students and academic staff.
Within the framework of the visit, Hungarian Ambassador Anna Maria Shiko met the students of Shota Rustaveli State University of Batumi, introduced the Hungarian government scholarships and gave a lecture on the topic: "Hungary and European integration". He spoke about the experience that Hungary went through on the path of European integration. The meeting took place in a question-and-answer mode, and the representative of the diplomatic corps answered the students' questions.
Representatives of the International Education Center were also present at the meeting with the students. who gave a presentation to the students about Hungarian scholarship programs, competition deadlines and procedures.
