The newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Greece to Georgia Maria Theodorou met the Rector of BSU, Professor Merab Khalvashi and the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities Marine Giorgadze. The parties talked about deepening the existing exchange programs between the higher educational institutions and defined directions of future cooperation.
Shota Rustaveli State University of Batumi implements exchange programs with Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Technological Educational Institute and Mediterranean University of Crete. The New Greek Philology program at BSU operated in 1996-2012. At the meeting, it was planned to renew the teaching of the new Greek language at the university and implement joint projects.
