
The project "Georgian language courses for war-affected Ukrainians living in Batumi" has been completed. At Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, Georgian language certificates were given to the project participants. The teaching of Georgian language to war-affected Ukrainians took place twice a week for 4 months and was led by BSU professor Maya Kikvadze. The project was implemented by the Center for Democratic Engagement, together with the American Language Center and Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. It was dedicated to the memory of the famous Kartviologist, linguist, Professor Tariel Putkaradze.
The project "Community Empowerment for Gender Equality" is implemented by the "Network of Centers for Democratic Engagement" (NCCE) in cooperation with the "Initiative for Social Change" organization. The project is part of the program "EU for Gender Equality: Together to fight gender stereotypes and gender-based violence", which is jointly implemented by the United Nations Women (UN Women) and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), with the support of the European Union.
