
A meeting with UNICEF representatives was held at the Children's Rights Center of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. The representative of the United Nations Children's Fund in Georgia, Ghassan Khalil, and the Rector of BSU, Professor Merab Khalvashi, summarized the activities of the BSU Children's Rights Center and talked about future plans. Within the framework of the event, there was also a discussion about the center's development and sustainability strategy. The Children's Rights Center was established in Batumi State University in 2021, where educational materials were developed and trainings, public lectures and discussions on children's rights issues are held.
BSU Children's Rights Center provides knowledge about children's rights to professors, teachers, representatives of academia and civil society, parents and children in the Ajara region.
The center was established with the support of the Norwegian government and helps future education specialists, parents and the interested society to better understand the rights of the child.
