Within the framework of agricultural extension project, representatives of the Washington and Tbilisi offices of the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), experts from the US universities of Idaho and Mississippi, and representatives of the "Future Farmer" organization visited BSU. At the meeting with BSU Rector Merab Khalvashi and professors and teachers, members of the delegation Benjamin Cairn, representative of the American Department of Agriculture, Brian Small, professor of the University of Idaho, Steven Raikle, professor of the University of Mississippi, representatives of the Tbilisi office of the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) Gocha Shaindze and Demna Dzirkvadze talked about the university's involvement in the project and future plans. It was planned to develop a long-term vocational educational program, to involve BSU in fish nutrition and health research, and to ensure the students in training courses. 
 
Conducting trainings on the topics of fish nutrition and health in the municipalities of Kobuleti and Kedi in the region of Ajara for five days.
