The youth space of the UN representative office was opened in BSU

UN Representative in Georgia Sabine Makhli and Rector of Batumi Shota Rustveli State University Merab Khalvashi opened SDG - Youth Space at BSU. The goal of the youth space is to support the goals of sustainable development and to offer activities to young people that will develop new skills to meet the challenges of the modern world. A presentation of a hybrid course was held within the framework of the event, which includes issues of implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals and trainings. The youth space was opened with the cooperation of the Academy of Education and International Development and the representative office of the United Nations.

Hybrid course trainings will develop young people's ability to engage in the country's development process, which includes lobbying, advocacy, project drafting, basic project management skills, social entrepreneurship and business plan preparation.

Mariam Gamezardashvili, the Head of the Academy of Education and International Development, Tamar Siradze, the Deputy Rector of BSU, Tea Chanturishvili, the Head of the International and Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports of Adjara, professors and students of the Faculty of Exact Sciences and Education took part in the opening of the space.

"OFF SIDE" band of Batumi Shota Rustveli State University performed the opening ceremony of the youth space.
