
Ambassador of the European Union to Georgia Pavel Herchinsky visited Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. BSU Rector Merab Khalvashi met the ambassador and talked about the relations between the European Union and Georgia, introduced the educational and scientific projects implemented in the BSU within the framework of European Union programs, the work of scientific centers and thanked for the support. About 1,000 BSU students benefit from EU exchange programs, including young European ambassadors. Within the framework of the visit, Ambassador of the European Union Pavel Herchinsky met the students and professors. The participants of the meeting had the opportunity to ask questions on issues relevant to them, such as the process of obtaining candidate status, the stage of implementation of the 12 recommendations of the European Union, the role of youth in democracy and the development of the country, and others.
