
On June 17, 2023, a presentation of the results of the Horizon 2020 grant project titled "Introduction of digital innovations in schools through regional innovation hubs and a mentoring model" was held. The meeting was attended by Jemal Surmanidze, the First Deputy Minister of Education, Culture, and Sports of Adjara, Professor Lela Turmanidze, the Dean of the Faculty of Exact Sciences and Education at BSU, academic staff from the Department of Pedagogical Sciences, as well as principals and teachers from Adjara public schools.
During the meeting, Madonna Mikeladze, the project manager and associate professor, presented the main outcomes of the project to the attendees. As part of the project, a model of regional innovation hubs and mentoring was developed to promote the integration of digital innovations in schools. This model was piloted in five public schools in Adjara. Additionally, based on the project's research, a methodological guide and an electronic manual were created to support the implementation of digital innovations.
Nino Mikeladze, a teacher from Batumi Public School No. 1, emphasized the project's significance in enhancing teachers' digital competence and shared her experience with the meeting participants.
Certificates of participation in the project were presented to the teachers from the pilot schools in Adjara, along with special posters for the schools.
