According to "Webometrics" research, Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University is in the top five of Georgian state universities in the ranking of higher educational institutions of Georgia.
The organization studies universities' scientific success, openness, and the influence of their online resources. The scientific criteria consider the citation of the university's academic publications in the international scientific database. "Webometrics" carries out studies of the rankings of world universities twice a year and covers up to 31,000 higher educational institutions from more than 200 countries, including Georgia.
