
On October 3-4 of this year, Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University hosted a conference within the Hein 4.0 project of the Erasmus + program. The conference was attended by representatives of project member institutions from Europe, Ukraine, Georgia, as well as local partners of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University.
The Erasmus + project “Boosting the role of HEIs in the industrial transformation towards the Industry 4.0 paradigm in Georgia and Ukraine” (HEIn4) was funded in 2019 and aims to strengthen the university's capabilities through the Industry 4.0 paradigm, promoting the introduction of innovative technologies in industry and business. Within the framework of the project, Shota Rustaveli State University of Batumi brought the Bachelor's and Master's programs of computer science closer to the requirements of the business, industry and educational sector, developed short-term courses in accordance with the requirements of the labor market, in order to introduce innovative technologies.
Within the framework of the conference, participating institutions of the project from Europe, Ukraine and Georgia summarized the results of the project, shared their experience with the attending public and talked about the mechanisms of sustainability of the project results, the guests visited the Batumi Techno Park, viewed the Universal Laboratory of Industrial Innovations (Fablab), get familiarized with the perspectives of cooperation between the university and the Techno Park.
