
Organized by the Faculty of Economics and Business at BSU, the international scientific conference "Economy and Business Global Challenges and Sustainable Development" was opened. More than 100 Georgian, American, English, Ukrainian, Belgian, Romanian, Lithuanian, Latvian, Polish and Azerbaijani researchers will present a scientific report on the results of recent researches at the two-day international conference. The conference was opened and the participants were welcomed by Natia Tsiklashvili, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business of BSU, Minister of Finance and Economy of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara Jaba Putkaradze, Deputy Minister of Education, Culture and Sports of the Aotonomous Republic of Ajara Jemal Surmanidze, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia Mikheil Djibouti, Professor of the Cranfield School of Management, Head of the Supply Chain and Logistics Research Center Mikheil Bourlakis, Associate Professor of the Higher School of Management and Information Systems Victoria Riashenko and Professor of Mykolas Romeris University Zhaneta Simanavichine.
The directions included in the conference program are:
- Development directions of the digital economy;
- Demographic and labor economics problems in the digital economy; financial economy;
- Economy of education and its digital transformation;
- Impact of COVID 19 on the economy;
- Problems associated with the global economy; social problems as prerequisites for a new technological revolution;
- Problems of regional economy;
- Business development problems;
- Challenges of tourism industry;
- Problems of food safety in modern conditions;
- Current directions of economic policy.
At the conference, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business of BSU, Natia Tsiklashvili, presented certificates of gratitude to the Ministry of Education, Couture and Sports and AR of Adjara and the Ministry of Finance and Economy of AR Adjara for the active support of the university.
BSU partners with Georgian and foreign higher educational institutions at the conference, including Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Mykolas Romeris University, Wroclaw University of Economics and Business, Vytautas Magnus University, Latvian University of Life Sciences and Technologies, Baku Business University, Krakow Economic University, and Batumi Navigation Teaching University.
