Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University became a full member of the European Journalism Training Association (EJTA). At the European Journalism Training Association conference held in Vienna on October 17-20, BSU Deputy Rector Professor Tamar Siradze and Head of Digital Media and Innovation Master's Program Professor Inga Shamilishvili introduced Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University as a new member of the association. As a result of the voting, BSU became a full member of the association, which is another important step towards the development and success of the media school.

The European Journalism Training Association (EJTA) was founded in 1990 in Brussels and unites 80 journalism centers, schools and universities from 30 European countries. EJTA membership is institutional, its purpose is to promote journalistic education, training and European cooperation. It organizes conferences and seminars on current issues of journalism, promotes long-term and medium-term mobility of students and lecturers, media studies, represents its members and protects their interests in contacts with such partners as: European Commission, UNESCO, European Associations of Journalists and Publishers.
