
At Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, Head of the National Office of "Erasmus+" in Georgia, Mariam Sulashvili, members of the office and representatives of the European Union "Feasibility study of Georgia's participation in the Erasmus+ program" - Sebastian Schweitzer, Israel Peralt and Nina Gogoladze, visited educational institutions operating in Batumi, "Erasmus+". program and its financing possibilities were introduced. As part of the information meeting, workshops were held covering the following educational sectors: higher education, vocational education, adult education, youth, sports and schools.
The purpose of regional meetings is to raise awareness, increase access to study abroad, and engage in exchange programs of various institutions.
Georgia is a partner member of the "Erasmus+" program. In order for the country to become an associate member, foreign experts will monitor the course of exchange programs. The project - "Study of the feasibility of Georgia's participation in the Erasmus+ program for the development of opportunities" is implemented in Georgia with the financial support of the European Union delegation and in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. The purpose of the project is to research the implementation of the Erasmus+ program in Georgia and develop capacities in the higher, general, vocational education, adult education, youth and sports sectors.
