The international scientific electronic journal "Messenger of Oriental Studies" (E-ISSN 2720-8168; ISSN 2587-490X) of the Oriental Studies Department of the Faculty of Humanities of Shota Rustaveli State University of Batumi has been assigned an impact factor of 1.668 in the International Scientific Indexing database. (2023-2024). The international scientific journal "Messenger of Oriental Studies" was founded in 2018 at the Faculty of Humanities of BSU on the basis of the Department of Oriental Studies.
Scientific articles, reports of international scientific conferences (forum, symposium, etc.), reports of scientific expeditions and reviews are published in the journal.
The journal's scientific fields and directions are: Eastern history, politics, geography, source studies, historiography, chronology, history of religion, archeology, ethnology, ethnography, linguistics, culture, philosophy, literary studies, translation, cultural anthropology.
