
Shota Rustaveli State University of Batumi was visited by the delegation of Artvini Chorokhi University. Rector of Artvini Chorokhi University, Professor Mustafa Sitki Bilgin, Deputy Rector, Bulent Saghlam, General Secretary Muhammad Ardich, Head of International Relations Department Hakan Gultekin, and Rector's Assistant Yusuf Kalkani met with BSU Rector, Professor Merab Khalvashi.
Within the framework of the memorandum signed between the higher educational institutions, the parties planned to implement joint training and educational projects and submit joint scientific projects to the programs of "Horizon 2020" and "ERASMUS+" funded by the European Union.
Georgian and Turkish researchers will jointly work on medicinal and aromatic plants, pharmacy, water, Black Sea and other topical issues of agrarian direction. It was also planned to deepen the cooperation in the direction of tourism and gastronomy.
The meeting was attended by BSU deputy rectors - Tamar Siradze and Anzor Beridze, Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Health Rusudan Khukhunaishvili, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism Irakli Kordzaia, Director of the Agricultural School of BSU Mamuka Turmanidze, Chief Scientist-Associate of the Institute of Phytopathology and Biodiversity Mariam Metreveli and Strategist Uli development and representatives of the Department of Foreign Relations.
Within the framework of the visit, the members of the delegation visited the Western Georgia Regional Chromatographic Center of Batumi Shota Rustveli State University and got acquainted with the researches on site.
