Rector of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, Professor Merab Khalvashi, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism, Associate Professor Irakli Kordzaia and Head of the Hospitality Management Department, Professor Rostom Beridze were at one of the largest tourism exhibitions in the world - "ITB Berlin 2024". The purpose of the visit was to meet with existing and prospective partners of universities with educational programs in the field of tourism and students in German tourism industry organizations, to get acquainted with innovations trends in the development of world tourism.
Within the framework of the visit, meetings were held with representatives of the Faculty of Tourism of the University of Applied Sciences of Munich, Mittelstand High School and the International Hospitality Institute of Germany in order to develop joint, exchange programs and develop opportunities for future cooperation.
