A francophone employment center was opened at BSU

At Shota Rustaveli State University of Batumi, at the Faculty of Tourism, a Francophone Employment Center (CEF) was opened under the organization of the University Agency of Francophonie (AUF). The center was opened and the participants were addressed by the rector of BSU Merab Khalvashi, the regional director of AUF-ECO, Muhammad Ketata, and the director of the French Institute, Camille Nora. BSU is the second higher educational institution in Georgia, where a francophone employment center was opened. The aim of the center is to increase the quality of internationalization, conduct trainings for French-speaking students of different faculties of the university, organize conferences, seminars, interviews for young graduates, develop entrepreneurial skills of students, promote employment and organize meetings between young people, entrepreneurs and employers.

The closing ceremony of the Francophonie Week was held as part of the event. Certificates and gifts were awarded to the winners of Francophonie events - "Bonjour la France" competition, conference, sports competition, literary and musical evenings and carnival.

Francophonie Week is held around the world and serves to promote the French language and culture. The Faculty of Humanities and the Faculty of Exact Sciences and Education of BSU celebrate Francophonie Days every year with various events.

The Francophonie Week is organized by Shota Rustaveli State University of Batumi, and it involves the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara,  private and public schools of Ajara, Association of French Language Teachers of Ajara, French Institute of Georgia and Georgian representatives of International Association of French Renaissance.
