
The German language day "German language for adults and children" was held at Shota Rustaveli State University of Batumi. The event was opened and the participants were welcomed by the Deputy German Ambassador to Georgia Tanya Hut, the Austrian Ambassador to Georgia Thomas Miulman and the Deputy Rector of BSU Tamar Siradze. Within the framework of the event, exchange programs were presented and a meeting was held with German language teachers, students, entrants, pupils and parents. Gebhard Royle, head of DAAD's Tbilisi regional office, introduced the scholarship programs to those wishing to study in Germany. An exhibition dedicated to the life and work of the Austrian writer Ingebor Bachmann was also organized.
The German language day included various cognitive and fun activities on the topic of the German language for all age groups. The event ended with the "OFF SIDE" concert of the BSU band.
The German Language Day was organized by the Embassy of Germany in Georgia, the Embassy of Austria in Georgia, the German Academic Exchange Service DAAD, the Goethe Institute and with the support of Shota Rustaveli State University in Batumi.
