
On June 27-28, the Central and Eastern European Rectors' Regional (C2R-ECO) and Scientific Diplomacy Conferences were held in Bucharest (Romania) organized by the University Agency of Francophonie (AUF). The annual regional rectors' conference was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the University Agencyof Francophonie (AUF) in Central and Eastern Europe. Rectors and deputy rectors of member universities of Central and Eastern Europe participated in the international conference, including representatives of 6 universities of Georgia. Deputy rector Tamar Siradze from Shota Rustaveli State University of Batumi participated in the events. Issues discussed at the meetings included such topics as: scientific diplomacy, internationalization, mobility, raising the importance of Francophonie research. At the conference, the members of the three working commissions of AUF presented the results of their work in the direction of internationalization, cyber security and research development.
In the final part of the events, the priorities of AUF's strategic plan, the strengthening of cooperation between universities and business companies in the field of student and researcher mobility and research development were outlined.
