
The British Ambassador to Georgia, Gareth Ward, visited Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. The Ambassador, together with the Acting Rector of BSU, Merab Khalvashi, met with students participating in international exchange programs. The representative of the diplomatic corps spoke about the friendly relations between Britain and Georgia and the priorities of the United Kingdom. The Ambassador shared information with the students about the Chevening Scholarship, which provides Georgian youth with the opportunity to receive education in the UK. The meeting was held in a question-and-answer mode, and the students expressed special interest in such issues as: climate change, environmental protection, security, economy and other topical topics.
