Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University was visited by Laure Casten, Regional Director for Central and Eastern Europe of the Francophonie University Agency (AUF), and Tamar Gharibashvili, Head of the Francophonie University Agency in Georgia.
At an introductory meeting with BSU Rector Tite Aroshidze, the parties discussed the deepening of cooperation in the promotion of the French language, the importance of the Francophone Employment Center (CEF), the promotion of the use of the French language in teaching and research, and the implementation of student mobility and exchange programs. The meeting was also attended by Irakli Kordzaia, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism, and Dinara Paghava, Deputy Dean.
As part of the visit, representatives of the Francophonie University Agency (AUF) visited the Francophone Employment Center opened at BSU and met with French language professors and students.
