
Rector of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University Tite Aroshidze met with the Representative of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Georgia Jesper Moller. During the introductory meeting, the parties discussed the achievements and future plans of the Children's Rights Knowledge Center. They agreed to hold the Fourth International Conference on Early Childhood Education and Care, which is traditionally held at Batumi State University under the organization of the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports of Georgia, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports of the Adjara Autonomous Republic, UNICEF and Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University.
At the meeting they also discussed the issue of the Master's Program in Child Rights, which is being implemented with the support of UNICEF in partnership with three state universities: Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, Tbilisi State University and Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University, and with the support of the French Embassy. Special attention was paid to improving the quality of early and inclusive education and implementing joint projects.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Rector Tamar Siradze and Dean of the Faculty of Exact Sciences and Education Lela Turmanidze.
