
On June 23-24, 2025, a national working meeting was held in Telavi for the European Commission-funded project "Responsible Conduct of Research in Georgian Universities – Research Integrity and Ethics" (ETHICS-Erasmus+). The main objective of the project is to improve existing mechanisms, procedures and services related to research ethics and integrity in universities.
The meeting was attended by representatives from ten partner higher education institutions, the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement and the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia. BSU was represented at the national working meeting by: Deputy Rector Professor Tamar Siradze, Associate Professor of the Faculty of Exact Sciences and Education Tatia Nakashidze-Makharadze and Head of the Scientific Research Service Tamar Machutadze.
During the meeting, issues regarding the necessary resources for university research integrity and ethics policy documents, the formation of research integrity and ethics councils, and the creation and improvement of services were discussed.
