A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University (BSU) and the Fields Institute for Research in Mathematical Sciences (Canada), a globally renowned center for mathematical research. The agreement was signed by Tite Aroshidze, Rector of BSU, and Deirdre Haskell, Director of the Fields Institute. The memorandum aims to deepen mathematical research and promote joint conferences, workshops, and training programs.

Another memorandum was also signed between the Fields Institute and the Georgian Mathematical Union, which will further facilitate collaboration between the institute and the Georgian mathematical community, including the involvement of BSU.

The memoranda were signed within the framework of the 15th International Conference of the Georgian Mathematical Union, currently being held at BSU, where around 300 scholars from universities and research institutions in Georgia and abroad have been sharing their expertise for several days.

During the conference, certificates were awarded to BSU students for their active participation.
