BSU was visited by Klemen Jerina, Vice-Dean of Forestry at the University of Ljubljana

Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University was visited by Klemen Jerina, Professor of the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, Vice-Dean of Forestry. During the visit, Professor Klemen Jerina met with the Rector of BSU, Tite Aroshidze. At the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for deepening partnership relations with the University of Ljubljana and cooperation within the framework of the “Erasmus+” program. It was also planned to sign a memorandum between Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University and the University of Ljubljana, which will facilitate the implementation of joint educational and scientific projects in the future.

The meeting paid special attention to familiarizing students with educational programs, introducing modern teaching methods, and finding effective solutions to challenges in the field of forestry at the national and international levels.

The meeting was attended by BSU Deputy Rectors: Giorgi Katamadze and Tamar Siradze, Agroschool Director Mamuka Turmanidze, Extension Center Head Giorgi Makharadze, National Coordinator of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) project “Sustainable Forest Management in Adjara” Vakhtang Tsuladze, National Coordinator of the project “Caucasus Eco Corridors” Irakli Gogoladze.
