The Jean Monnet Chair is funded by the European Commission within the framework of the Jean Monnet Programme, which aims to promote the norms of EU law, in particular EU Competition Law and EU Consumer Law, by promoting the development of research and teaching on the European Union.
The project was implemented in the academic years 2023-2026. It aimed to teach two courses on EU Competition Law and Consumer Law at the master's level at the faculties of Law and Economics at BSU.
Within the framework of the project, public lectures were held in public schools in Batumi to promote EU values, as well as summer schools and trainings on EU Competition Law. In addition, an international conference “EU Integration Perspectives of Candidate Countries” was held. And at the final stage of the project, the handbook on EU Competition Law is published.
