International Project in Sustainable Tourism

Faculty of Tourism at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University sends three students to South-Eastern Norwegian University (USN) within the project framework “Sustainable Tourism: Agrarian Entrepreneurship and Cultural Heritage”. The project was signed by seven partner universities at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University.

The goal of the project is to launch cooperation in the area of education among Kirgizia, Georgia, Norway and other partner universities. The main area of partnership is sustainable tourism. The cooperation foresees internship of the students and academic personnel. The partner Universities will carry out joint research and educational projects and develop new curricula in the sustainable tourism.

The project time frame is 4 years. The partner universities include Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, Kutaisi Akaki Tsereteli State University, Batumi Maritime Academy and other high schools. 

Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University has been participating in the project for 3 years. 17 students of BSU have been on internship program in Norway.
