Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University hosted Ilya Shapira, President of the ‘J-Group-Global’ a company based in Israel, and Alexander Zogas, expert of research and development at ‘J-Group-Global’.
The President and the expert of the ‘J-Group-Global’ held a meeting at BSU, attended by the Rector Merab Khalvashi, Deputy Rectors, Directors of the Research Institutes, professors and educators.
The delegates from Israel discussed the prospects of future cooperation following the presentations by the BSU researchers. The presentations reflected scientific achievements on agriculture, ecology, molecular biology, soil studies, membrane filtration etc.
The company ‘J-Group-Global’ initiated a forests protection project in Georgia. In particular, the company plans to promotie Georgian forests. The project joins forces of the Georgian and Israeli scientists. As the project points out, one of the project deliverables will be elaboration of the mechanisms of restoration and preservation of the Georgian forests. As long as the company has already implemented similar projects on the international arena, its experience of working in various climate zones is considered an extra benefit for the project.
