Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University Rector Merab Khalvashi and Valencia Polytechnic University (Spain) Vice Rector Prof. Juan Miguel Matinez Rubio signed Memorandum of Understanding.
The Memorandum of Understanding foresees sharing of experience, exchange of the academic staff and expansion of the research cooperation in various areas of common interest.
The Memorandum also includes agreement on the students exchange, participation in the academic and research projects, and collaboration in the training development and implementation activities.
Valencia Polytechnic University (UPV) and Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University (BSU) have been developing partnership and cooperation since 2013 through various Erasmus projects, e.g. Erasmus Mundus Action 2, EuroEast, Electra, and TEMPUS and other projects. BSU students and academic staff participated in various educational and research projects at Valencia Polytechnic University through the Erasmus projects.
Valencia Polytechnic University (UPV) was founded in 1968 and the number of the students turnout reaches 36.000.
