A delegation from Cork (Ireland) visited Shota Rustaveli State University. Rector Merab Khalvashi met Cork County Mayor John Paul O 'Shea, Executive Director of the Cork County Council Tim Lucy, and Executive Officer of the Cork County Corporate Services Sean o'Kalahens. At the introductory meeting, the parties exchanged information. Rector Merab Khalvashi talked about the educational programs and the International Relations of BSU. The delegation from Ireland and Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University Rector mapped out the priority directions and discussed prospects for future cooperation between BSU and higher education institutions in Ireland.
The delegation from the Cork County arrived in Adjara on business, to introduce themselves with the investment and tourism potential and to establish cooperation between the Cork Country and the Adjara Autonomous Republic.
